VISUAL DEVELOPMENT
We worked closely with renowned Artist and Professor David Garneau to transform the expressive style of his traditional, physical artworks into a scalable, digital animation pipeline that respectfully represented contemporary Indigenous storytelling and visual design.

We worked closely with renowned Artist and Professor David Garneau to transform the expressive style of his traditional, physical artworks into a scalable, digital animation pipeline that respectfully represented contemporary Indigenous storytelling and visual design.
PIPELINE DEVELOPMENT
Leveraging the power of game engines and VR we developed a virtual representation of the physical space to choreograph complex, integrated animated sequences and involve clients for early feedback.

ANIMATION TOOLS
Using custom tools and processes we were able to empower 2D animators and compositors to focus on what they do best without being distracted by the unconventional canvas and layout of the exhibition space.

With our hybrid team of artists and creative technologists we realised unique styles, refined techniques and delivered a scalable pipeline that was easily transferable to various vendors and our partner animation studios.

To expand the project beyond the boundaries of the exhibition space we ensured that our production pipeline could support a version as shorts for theatrical realease.

The power of stories, told over many nights, over many years, through all the languages across the world, are encapsulated in an intimate story between a grandmother and her children’s children on a clear winter night in the teepee.
ADDITIONAL OUTPUTS
