Monster Fish: In Search of the Last River Giants

Join a young fisher boy as he muses and imagines his way through the wonderfully real world of fresh water giants. This short was commissioned by the National Geographic Museum in Washington, D.C. to open their international, travelling exhibition Monster Fish: In Search of the Last River Giants. The piece was produced to installation design specifications for theatre style playback, on duo large screens, in 4K resolution. Using hybrid animation techniques, the film depicts a child’s musings about a local legend to bring viewers face-to-face with a wondrous monster fish. It also introduces National Geographic Explorer and host Zeb Hogan and encourages the audience - both young and old - to think about human impact on these majestic creatures.
