Much of our animated short "Hairy Hill" is set outside so it was critical for us to create the aesthetic we wanted with natural elements. As Ethyl, an elderly woman (based on our director Dan's grandmother) meanders through memories of her haunting childhood with her many siblings and ill parents, she remembers the heartbreaking struggles she had as a young girl to survive and keep her family from being torn apart. This set of flowers, along with several other of our nature-based animated elements, helped us subtly followt the emotion of Ethyl's journey.
