Throughout the making of this film, like a tree in the forest, Dan allowed space for his vision to grow organically, whether big or small, wide or tall. In reality, he couldn’t have imagined the trajectory of this film when he started the initial sketches over a decade ago. As the world of technology advanced, so did his toolkit: custom-made software, workflows, strategies, creative approaches and possibilities, all fusing together into the final export. With stronger and sharper tools, he was able to craft to the themes of impermanence, fragility, human resilience and our relationship to nature, with precision.
We'll be knocking on the doors of your imagination when the film premieres in 2023. Until then, enjoy the summer!
